Pat Kinsella’s Textile Weaving Workshop at Tessilarte in Florence was a huge success. We had a fantastic group of ladies from Australia, Ireland, USA and Canada, including absolute beginners and highly experienced weavers. Here are the scarves and samplers. Grazie mille Pat, we’re looking forward to next year’s workshop!
Thank you Eva and Cecilia at Fondazione Lisio for another wonderful textile weaving workshop. Our weavers found the workshop challenging and rewarding, producing some fabulous samplers on Lisio’s incredible antique jacquard looms. We’re looking forward to returning next May.

Such a pleasure to be involved with the 2018 Florence Art & Design Study Tour for students from PLC Sydney. October was the perfect time to be in Florence and the beautiful hilltop town of Fiesole, here are some photos!
We're looking forward to visiting ARTIGIANATO E PALAZZO in Florence this May. Now in its 23rd year, the event brings together selected master craftspeople to showcase their work and skills in the beautiful grounds of Palazzo Corsini.
The primary objective of Artigianato e Palazzo is to provide a contemporary context for craftspeople and their work as an expression of quality and technique, while also focusing on the concept of artisan workmanship, which is by nature both 'modern' and solidly based in tradition.
The event also seeks to underscore the significance of artisans of the past whose workshops often prospered around the homes of the wealthy, the palazzo, as showcases and venues for experimentation and ongoing exchange, benefiting from a direct relationship with the public as well as tradition.
Every year organizers select approximately one hundred artisans who are the focal point of the event, most of them from Tuscany, but also many from other areas of Italy and Europe.
