Designer Sarah Light and artist/maker Simon Clayton relocated from Melbourne, Australia to Umbria, Italy to experience Europe’s beautiful design and handmade crafts, and to live a slower-paced life ensconced in artisanal practices, and great food and wine.
Becoming accustomed to this traditional Italian way of life, they turned their enthusiasm for sharing their experience into something that would benefit likeminded folk like you: The Tour Studio.
Sarah and Simon run The Tour Studio from their small, beautiful stone cottage in the Umbrian countryside. Since living in Italy, they have been working with local artisans and designers to devise workshops with exceptionally talented individuals, and plan tours to some of the best design destinations in the EU.
Originally from the NSW Southern Highlands in Australia, Sarah trained as an architect in Sydney and Hong Kong and has over 20 years experience in design. Sarah is also an educator in the field of design and has taught interior design and set design at RMIT University, University of Melbourne and Swinburne University.
